For the Bear Cave Labs apps. Last updated October 31, 2026.
This covers four apps made by Bear Cave Labs:
- Wasteland Survival Calculator
- ConvertZilla
- The Heist: No Saves
- Listening Room
What stays on your phone
Everything you type, every file you convert, every song you play, and your game scores stay on your phone. The apps don't upload your files, don't ask you to make an account, and don't show ads. ConvertZilla and Listening Room do all their work on the phone itself; your photos, documents, videos, and music never leave it.
Buying the full version
Each app has one-time purchases: the full version in the Calculator, ConvertZilla, and The Heist, and painting packs in Listening Room. Google Play handles the payment. We never see your card or bank details.
To check whether you've bought something, and to restore it on a new phone, the apps use a service called RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives your purchase record from Google Play (which product, when, and whether it's still valid), a random ID the app creates, and basic technical details such as your phone's language, currency, and app version. It does not receive your name, email, or files. This information is sent encrypted and is used only to make the unlock work and to count sales.
Phone features the apps use
- The Heist reads your phone's tilt to steer. That reading is used in the moment and never stored or sent anywhere.
- ConvertZilla opens the files you choose and, when you tap Save, hands the result to your phone's share menu. It can't see any other files.
- Listening Room uses the microphone only when you choose Listen and press Start. The sound is analyzed on the phone while it plays, to paint the picture. It isn't saved as a recording and isn't sent anywhere. It also opens the song files you choose, and saves paintings through your phone's share menu.
- The Calculator uses nothing beyond the screen.
When you email support
Emails to support@bearcavelabs.com are first read by an automated helper. To write an answer, your email (your address, the subject, and what you wrote) is sent encrypted to Anthropic, whose Claude AI drafts the reply. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, what's sent through its API isn't used to train its models. If the helper can't answer, your email is passed to a person at Bear Cave Labs. We keep support emails only as long as needed to help you, and you can ask us to delete them.
Please don't send card numbers or passwords by email. We never need them.
Children
These apps aren't made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect anything from them.
Deleting your data
To clear everything an app saved on your phone, uninstall it. To have your purchase record removed from RevenueCat, or your support emails deleted, email support@bearcavelabs.com and we'll delete them. If you remove your purchase record, restoring the purchase on a new phone may need a fresh request to Google Play.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version goes on this page with a new date.
